5. Eligibility

 

To be eligible to adopt a dog from Ray’s Hope Rescue, a veteran must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a stable income and housing.
  • Be able to provide a safe and loving home for a dog.
  • Be willing to complete a training program with their new dog.
  • Be able to provide proof of vaccination for all household pets.
  • Be able to provide proof of home insurance.

 

6. Adoption Process

 

The adoption process for Ray’s Hope Rescue is as follows:

  • Complete an adoption application.
  • Meet with a Ray’s Hope Rescue staff member to discuss your application.
  • Be interviewed by a Ray’s Hope Rescue staff member.
  • Have your home inspected by a Ray’s Hope Rescue staff member.
  • Be approved for adoption.

 

7. Adoption Fee

 

The adoption fee for a dog from Ray’s Hope Rescue is $250. The adoption fee covers the cost of spaying or neutering the dog, vaccinating the dog, microchipping the dog, and providing the adopter with a training manual.

 

8. Refund Policy

 

Ray’s Hope Rescue does not offer refunds for adoptions. However, if you are unable to keep your adopted dog for any reason, you may return the dog to Ray’s Hope Rescue within 14 days of the adoption date. In this case, you will be refunded the adoption fee minus a $50 processing fee.

 

9. Responsibilities of the Adopter

 

The adopter of a dog from Ray’s Hope Rescue is responsible for the following:

  • Providing the dog with food, water, shelter, and exercise.
  • Taking the dog to the veterinarian for regular check-ups and vaccinations.
  • Spaying or neutering the dog.
  • Microchipping the dog.
  • Training the dog.
  • Providing the dog with love and companionship.
  • Not using the dog for any type of work or service.
  • Not breeding the dog.
  • Not selling or giving away the dog without the written permission of Ray’s Hope Rescue.

 

10. Responsibilities of Ray’s Hope Rescue

 

Ray’s Hope Rescue is responsible for the following:

  • Providing the adopter with a dog that is healthy, well-behaved, and compatible with the adopter’s lifestyle.
  • Providing the adopter with training resources and support.
  • Providing the adopter with a 14-day satisfaction guarantee.
  • Providing the adopter with a copy of the dog’s adoption contract.

 

11. Governing Law

 

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United State of America.

 

12. Entire Agreement

 

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the adopter and Ray’s Hope Rescue with respect to the adoption of a dog from Ray’s Hope Rescue. There are no other representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the adoption of a dog from Ray’s Hope Rescue.

 

13. Severability

 

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision will be struck from these terms and conditions and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

 

14. Waiver

 

No waiver of any provision of these terms and conditions will be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties.

 

15. Notices

 

All notices and other communications under these terms and conditions will be in writing and will be deemed to have been duly given when delivered in person, upon the first business day following deposit in the United States mail, postage prepaid, certified or registered, return receipt requested, addressed as follows:
