SPONSOR
A RESCUE DOG
We work with local rescue organizations and shelters to match each veteran to a canine companion. The veteran then trains their new animal to be their emotional support dog or battle buddy.

Wiley
Wiley is a 3-year-old Beagle/Whippet mix. He was handed to Ray’s Hope by his former owner, an elderly lady who was unable to care for him due to her medical problems. When Wiley came to us, he had severe anxiety, problems with leash walking, was afraid of loud noises and men and barked constantly at strangers. Today, almost one year later, Wiley, walks well on a leash, is not afraid of loud noises, and has stopped barking at strangers. Wiley is currently working on overcoming his anxiety. He is currently paired with Ashley.

Lion-O
Lion-O is a 4-year-old German Shepherd who was rescued from a Los Angeles Animal Shelter in March 2018. When Lion-O was rescued, he was emaciated, suffered from separation anxiety, and was not house trained. Today, Lion-O is healthy, completely house trained, and waits patiently for his companion to come home. He is paired with Julie.

Rubik
Rubik, 1.5-year-old Vizsla, was purchased from breeders in Northern California. He was living in a home in Santa Clarita, where he remained in his crate all day every day, let out occasionally for quick trips outside. Ray’s Hope members heard his story and asked if they could rescue him. The family who had him advised the group that Rubik was unruly, prone to nipping, and urinated in response to his fear of punishment. The family willingly surrendered Rubik to Ray’s Hope on December 2018. Today, Rubik is calm, responsive, obedient, and no longer nips when startled. Rubik is paired with Brady.

Mission
Bringing Tail-Wagging Joy to Veterans and Dogs, One Paw at a Time!
At Ray’s Hope, we’re on a mission to make veterans and dogs happy campers with wagging tails and lots of love. We’re all about turning regular Joes into superheroes and ensuring our veterans feel like they can take on the world (or at least their morning coffee). With a pinch of slobbery smooches and a splash of chuckles, we’re on a mission to ensure every veteran has a furry friend to lean on. And in the process, we’re giving some lucky pups a shot at a tail-wagging good time.
Vision
A World Where Every Veteran and Dog Can Experience Startling Happiness!
Imagine a world where veterans are surrounded by dogs with waving tails and wet noses and where dogs find forever homes and bring their human companions unending joy. At Ray’s Hope, we have big dreams and work hard to make them come true. We want to see a world where the boundless potential of the human-animal bond is celebrated and embraced and where every veteran can feel the healing, unconditional love of a furry friend by their side. Through our passion, hard work, and a lot of doggy chuckles, we’re committed to creating a world where veterans and their dogs can have a lot of extraordinary happiness.
Remember, when you support Ray’s Hope, you’re not just changing lives – you’re wagging your way toward a brighter, more pawsome future.
Let’s unleash the magic of the human-animal bond and make our mission and vision a tail-wagging reality!

Values
Discover Ray's Hope's exceptional values.
Unconditional Love: At Ray’s Hope, we believe in the power of love that doesn’t come with a long list of terms and conditions. We appreciate how dogs will love you no matter what, even if you wear a ridiculous outfit. With many cuddles, treats, and belly rubs, we aim to make our four-legged pals feel like royalty.
Empathy and Understanding: We understand that veterans have been through a lot, so we promise to be nice and understanding. We won’t make fun of your war stories, we promise! We create paw-some transformations and fur-tastic connections by walking a mile in their paws (and shoes).
Integrity and Transparency: Trust is essential to our organization. We uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency. We are committed to operating honestly, openly, and accountable, ensuring that our donors, volunteers, and partners have complete trust in our work and its impact.
Fun and Humor: Laughter is the best medicine, and we embrace the power of fun and humor in our work. Our mission is to fill the world with happy people and their canine companions, spreading smiles and wagging tails. After all, life is too short not to have a good chuckle along the way!
At Ray’s Hope, these values guide our every step, wag, and woof. They are the foundation of our organization and the driving force behind the extraordinary transformations we strive to achieve. Join us in embracing these values, and let’s make a lasting difference together!
